In-Person Fire Extinguisher Training Courses
FTC offer comprehensive in-person Fire Extinguisher training courses that can give you the skills to use a Fire extinguisher with the knowledge and confidence to use in these situations learning all the different types of extinguishers available. Knowing how to use a fire extinguisher is a life saving skill that is invaluable and should be learnt by all. We are based in Milton Keynes and travel to deliver our courses at your premises.
What Will You Learn?
Our in-person fire extinguisher training courses highlight vital tactics and techniques such as distance, aim and duration of each extinguisher along with selecting the correct type for the job.
The students will be shown films, case studies and practical examples in the classroom, demonstrating fire behaviour and smoke movement in great detail ensuring the knowledge of these hazards.
Putting your knowledge to the test!
The course will also simulate a live fire to put all your theory into practice, the student will extinguish a controlled fire covering most classes of fire within a safe environment.
These skills and knowledge can reduce potential damage and more importantly uphold a high standard of safety and compliance for the individual.
Resources and Aftercare
Upon completion of our in-person fire extinguisher training course all attendees will receive a link to a digital page containing all of the key information discussed during the training session. This page will be members only access and will contain the information on the following areas:
- Awareness of local fire procedures and sweep routes.
- Fire warden checks.
- Fire prevention checks.
- Fire warden sweep instructions.
- The types of fire extinguishers.
- The fire warden checklist for daily observations, weekly observations, monthly inspections, quarterly inspections, bi-annual inspections, annual inspections.
Accreditations & Compliance
All instructors are experienced Fire Safety Trainers and will enable you to meet industry standards and to ensure you stay compliant with the Fire Safety order.
All Fire Warden courses are now recognised by the Institute of Fire Engineers that will be displayed on your certification
